Very concerned about my purchase from Greenhouse Megastore.
I ordered several shade cloths which were in stock on 6/5/2021. I did not receive them. E-mail to company asking when I would get them went unanswered.
Today, 6/13/2021 I left another inquiry through their "customer service". and I'm waiting to hear from them.
Their on-line search for order status indicates neither order has been shipped! How is that possible if it's in stock?
According to my bank, they deposited my payment on 6/7/2021.
I ordered in good faith, and paid, and I expect what I purchased. I would think expedited shipping and an explanation for the delay is in order.
I purchased several large custom shade block pieces to use for my raised planting beds. It took about a month to receive them (not very good at all). When I opened the box, low and behold they had absolutely NO tape and NO grommets, just pieces of material. What good are these? What am I supposed to anchor them to? These are completely useless! I looked up the skew numbers on their site, and they are pictured with tape and grommets (just as they were when I purchased them). I know what I ordered (the skew numbers were identical). Then they wanted me to pay to ship them back, and pay to add the tape and grommets, and then pay, yet again, to ship it back to me. Is that how this is supposed to work?. I asked if it was going to take another month to get my product back? The lady I spoke to would not promise anything! They never even called me back to work through anything. Should I have to pay a bunch more money for something that was not delivered as advertised? NO WAY! I would caution you about doing business with this company. I wasted a ton of money on something I cannot use. I guess my only recourse is to leave this review, return the useless material and challenge the charge on my card, and find somewhere else to do business. Yep, that is what I must do!
Pretty good experience, with some stocking issues. I ordered several items through the website, which were indicated to be in-stock on the website. I received a prompt order confirmation e-mail, which indicated I should expect a shipping confirmation within 2-3 business days. A week later, I had not heard from them, so I called them. The customer service agent was helpful and went through my order with me, identifying certain items that were back-ordered or out of stock and also indicating when they were expected to arrive in stock and ship out. A few days later, consistent with our discussion, the anticipated in-stock items shipped out and I received e-mails regarding the shipment. A few additional items remain backordered, and I anticipate receiving those soon enough.
Overall, it is a bit bothersome that the website did not accurately reflect which items were in stock, and it was annoying that I had to initiate contact to get more information. That said, the customer service agent was helpful, and I did receive most of my order in a reasonably timely fashion, and the prices were great. So I would consider this store a very good option for buying items (especially in bulk) where having them arrive immediately is not essential (otherwise, shop local, or maybe Amazon).
Update: It is now 2 months after my order, and I have received 80% of the order, but am missing the seed-starting accessories that I intended to use in March. Now it is May, so I missed the window for starting some of the seeds that I ordered, due to their poor stocking. They have responded to my e-mails inquiring about the status, but they have made no independent effort to proactive keep me informed, or even let me know items were out of stock (as with others, all items showed as in-stock on the website.
Bottomline, I think they have a good selection and good prices, especially if you reach the free shipping threshold. However, I would not order anything from them again unless ordering months in advance, with no immediate need for timely receipt of the items.
I ordered 3 items, which ALL showed as in stock at the time I ordered them. No notification of anything being backordered. I emailed them asking where the rest of my order was since it was supposedly IN STOCK at time of order, that they only shipped one item and no shipping confirmation was sent until after it arrived and I wanted to cancel the two backordered items. They have not responded except for asking what items I did receive. This morning I see a shipping confirmation for the first item that arrived a week ago....sigh. Still waiting for them to say they will cancel/refund. I will NOT be ordering from them again. Poor customer service. Almost the same thing happened last year. My fault for returning!
Update - After 3 emails demanding them to cancel and a refund which they replied to NONE of them, they shipped and actually sent a shipping confirmation.
I recently ordered 5 1 cu ft bags of Canadian Peat, but was delivered three. There was no invoice, nor bill of receipts. I feel cheated that I paid $123.00 for 5 bags an only received 3. Ver difficult to follow up with a complaint to request remainder of my order.
I ordered a shade cloth for my garden and it wasn't out of stock according to their website. Three weeks later the order had not shipped so I called their phone with no answer. I emailed their customer service, no response. Had to request a refund on my credit card before I finally got a tracking notification, not even from the company from PayPal! I understand that there may be delays during COVID but please inform customers so they don't worry they were scammed. The product was perfect though once it finally arrived.
